This talk is meant to analyze a number of contemporary, trans feminine erotic style that are flourishing online. Drone kink, puppygirls, mechsploitation – all those names denote a specifically trans feminine erotic aesthetics, deeply embedded in the history of alternative pornographic productions, while also speaking to the particularities of trans desire. In this talk, Dr. Szpilka hopes to not only show the importance of those styles as they are, but also argue that they represent an attempt to move erotic productions outside of the cisness that has thus far defined much of the Western “Pornographic imagination,” to borrow Susan Sontag’s Famous phrase.
